Look ik it’s not technically full confirmation but this logo for Toyland is definitely continuing to push the “plastic toy” theme. And before you say it this is the icon for this area clearly has Meeple in it. Like you can see their dice right there. Their Game Center would obviously be in this section of the park.

Like I can’t be the only one who thinks Meeple being a robot doesn’t work right? The way they actually describe them makes it unlikely.

Like they specifically said mysterious being. I don’t think any of the actual robot characters been described like that before. Which would make sense since why would the robots be seen as mysterious? Everyone sees robots at this park all the time. If Meeple was a robot they probably wouldn’t find them so mysterious and alien.

Meeple is probably gem made. A lot of characters already are so is it really hard to buy Meeple being that instead. And given they specifically released this guy during a collab event with Toy Story and the shop where you originally got Meeple looked like this:

Sorry I think the action figure reading made way more sense. At least to me. You can’t convince me this guy is a robot cus I don’t buy it.

Debunking the Fizz Cheated on Ozzie Theory (Because It Hurts Me 😭)

With any ongoing show, there are bound to be theories that come about and theories can be a lot of fun to read up on. Even if you don't agree with a theory or can disprove one, you're at least bound to find it entertaining. When it comes to Helluva Boss, there was a theory I heard from a couple of people that goes like this: "Fizz actually did make out with Blitzo after they reconciled and feels guilty about cheating." And while I know this show isn't exactly new to having characters who cheat/make questionable decisions regarding their romantic partners, this theory makes me feel uncomfortable. And I'm saying this as someone who ships both Fizz and Ozzie as well as Fizz and Blitzo. But allow me to attempt to ease my own anxiety by making the argument as to why I don't think this theory is possible. This is gonna be long, so strap in.

Let's start by going over the hints people use to support this theory. So we all know the set-up is from this classic line of Blitzo:

For the most part this moment is meant to be taken as more of a joke. But what has people thinking that Fizz actually took Blitzo up on his offer is when we see him do this upon entering Ozzie's office:

Fizz wipes his mouth even though we never saw anything happen to him in the mouth prior to this moment. It's not as if he got punched or was still duck taped. What doesn't help is when Fizz gives this expression as he and Oz are riding the elevator:

This expression has been interpreted in many different ways, but for the sake of this theory, we're going with the interpretation that Fizz looks guilty, especially since he seems to avert his gaze from Ozzie's.

I will grant the theory this in that these aren't bad pieces to use. Again, Helluva Boss has never shied away from showing messy relationships. So what's my counterargument to this theory?

To start off with, I don't believe Fizz would do anything to jeopardize his relationship with Oz. As we see in the next episode, Fizz was too afraid to even not participate in Mammon's Clown Pageant because one of his biggest fears is losing Ozzie.

I would think that if Fizz and Ozzie were in an exclusive relationship with one another, Fizz wouldn't want to cheat on Ozzie because he values him too much. That would be an instant deal breaker to what they have going on.

Furthermore, while Fizz does hide some aspects of himself even with those he loves, it's pretty obvious to tell what he's feeling. When Blitzo comes with him to the pageant, he seems more annoyed than worried about Blitzo's presence.

And to help support this further, we do see how Fizz would react when having Blitzo around could potentially ruin him.

He explicitly calls him out for making fun of his boss. At no point in this episode is Fizz ever worried about what Blitzo could directly do to harm his relationship with Ozzie. If anything, he's more afraid of what Mammon could do to their relationship when Mammon tries to blackmail Ozzie into not letting Fizz quit.

I'm not sure if my counterargument is good or even holds up in fully debunking this theory, but I knew I had to say something for my own peace of mind. And it's not the fault of whoever made this theory or those that believe it. I'm just someone who feels passionate about Fizz and Ozzie and I want to believe the best of their relationship. But I want to know what you think. Do you believe this theory is possible? Do you agree or disagree with my points? Regardless, thanks for reading!

Something unremittingly bleak about a goddamn country starting "crisis actor" conspiracy theories to deny their crimes. A term invented to deny the deaths of children at Sandy Hook in 2012 is now used to deny the deaths of children in Gaza in 2023.

As the community note says, this isn't a crisis actor. This is a guy who posts on Instagram. A influencer who posts videos online of breaking events...is seen at a lot of breaking events. To Israel, this is a sign of a conspiracy. In fact, some of those images aren't even him, or aren't even related to Palestine at all; one image included in other posts targeting Saleh Aljafarawi is a Halloween costume from Thailand. That article says "pro-Israeli accounts" tweeted this, but it's the literal, official Twitter account of Israel posting this shit, next to their comedy sketches that somehow make trans people the punchline bc fascists only have one joke the whole world wide I guess

Like. It's not new for a government to deny the reality of its atrocities. It is new for that government to outright use a conspiracy theory term devised by Alex fucking Jones, or to, when called on doing so, defend it as a "meme" (also bizarre to see hardcore Zionists use a term crafted for especially antisemitic conspiracy theories). Does anyone else think each Tozu Theater is about the different students?

I haven’t seen people talk about them much, and when they do it’s assuming they’re things Tozu himself thought, but I’ve noticed some interesting patterns. Here is who I think each one is about:

Tozu Theater #1 - Wolfgang Akire

I interpret this one to be about the concept of children unintentionally becoming exactly like their bad parents, something clearly alluded to with Wolfgang. And considering it’s theorized his father violently murdered his mother… isn’t it relevant that the lawyer unknowingly attacks a woman (Diana) in a similar way?

Tozu Theater #2 - Jean Delamer

When thinking about them in relations to the students, this was an easy connection to make. This Theater delves into an interesting background with him building a ship and his “cream-colored hair” friend doing the same, and it ends with…

Doesn’t this sound like the Tozu’s strategy of making some blackmails vague in order to make students “pester each other” for information? Which presumably happened to Jean when Wolfgang confronted him about his blackmail, becoming a plot point in the Class Trial?

Tozu Theater #3 - Eva Tsunaka

This one was tough. Initially, I could only vaguely connect its setting to Eva’s school-based talent. Until realizing I overlooked it almost immediately due to its silly presentation… which is the core of Eva’s issues with her talent. So, I dug deeper and… well. Just take a look:

What's interesting about this panel os that based on Taiga's reaction he seemed to realize something about the Like Dove, i think i can imagine what goes on his head is like:

he asks a question to himself

a voice or his brain answers it for him

His reaction and Asking Romeo to hurry up and shoot it suggests that he realized the like dove might be a tool from the spy who started the clash and was used to watch them on this scene(Taiga seems to be really hostile to the spy or knows who it is and seemed to suspect anyone who sneaks up on him as a spy without questioning himself or his head if they're a spy or not)

Also a interesting bit about this is the first time the Like Dove appeared seemed to be a fan service thing to say that some of the Boys like MC but i think this could apply to the theory that the Spy took interest on the MC and watches her as well like they do to the ghouls

So in this one video of Gortash's voiclines by Coma, bbg literally says "One benefit of becoming the Archduke of Baldur's Gate is that you have a whole legion of soldiers to worry about that for you." timestamp is 6:40 in the video. but... Theory: The spy is the character you pick in the beginning

My only evidence? A lot of the characters' lines before they jump from the balcony sound like they made a mistake/trying to make up for something. "We were just playing out a fixed match. And I was nothing but a figure head all along..." - Jin

Basically I think they are the spy but not willingly/under duress. They decide to make up for the fact by sacrificing themself at the end. The spy technically isn't the real culprit, maybe a teacher is pulling the chosen character's strings or such. IDK cause I'm not sure how well that would work with the whole story mode of the game but :shrug: it's what I got.

just real quick thoughts on the opening lines depending on the ghoul you pick to "save" at the beginning

spoilers for the prologue i guess???

idk why i spoiler tagged it whatever

anyways so i think choosing to save someone was just typical dating sim nonsense (even if it's not an otome it is in my head) but i think a few of them are plot relevant while others...not so much

reading through the story i definitely think they have "main" characters that are integral to the plot while others are just there to help move the story along, and i think it shows in the intro lines. here are the ones i collected that felt the most plot relevant:

jin, obviously. he was framed and exposed last year with the clash, and he's being used like a pawn by the higher ups. the fixed game feels relevant to taiga's as well by him calling it a busted flush. jin's obviously aware they were being played all along, and unfortunately it may have been his lack of action that brought them here.

alan...kind of came out of left field. i think alan knows a lot more about what happened last year than he's letting on, and with the way he's working with tohma (and jin lowkey) i think they're going to figure the traitor thing out fast--but maybe not fast enough.

ren's another one that i didn't expect to be plot relevant but it definitely felt like it is. this could also be attributed to typical ren "i don't want to" stuff, but it also is lowkey giving me the vibe that he might flip traitor if he thinks it's easier. that, or mc convinced him to do something and now he's gotta die lol

i do also think this reflects how he feels about his stigma as well. he's very reluctant to have anything to do with that or the ocean, which also leads me to believe he may not have wanted to make his pact in the first place.

as said in another post, i think taiga knows everything that's going on and i also think he knows we're in a time loop. my personal theory is that he's done this so many times that he's willing to try just about anything at this point to break the time loop.

this time, his sacrifice may be the key to breaking it. who knows? or maybe he's jumped into the flames so many times at this point that he's begging you to do something different

oh haku. haku my beloved suspected traitor. this has "i lied to you and you still loved me" written all over it. maybe he's jumping to try and make up for fucking everyone over

subaru, another one high on my traitor list--but not really. i just genuinely think subaru is so terrified of losing control that he comes off suspicious. i've got another post in the works on him, but i need to reread ep 15 like three more times. anyways, he reads as very self sacrificing (and self sabotaging, and self flaggellating...) and this seems totally in line for him to do

another interesting thing to note even though i don't think it's super relevant is that all the ghouls look at you as they jump--except luca. luca is the only one that has his eyes closed. is he the only one who actually regrets jumping?
